    The Developmental Mathematics Department has made a commitment to assist you, the student, to succeed in your math endeavors.  The primary purpose of the math lab is to assist you in passing the math portion of the Texas Academic Skills Program (TASP).  Therefore, the Developmental Math Department has put together these workbooks, which contain questions similar to TASP questions as they are presented in the Offical TASP Test Study Guide.  Please note that you must be able to first do the problems in the Offical TASP Test Study Guide before you can practice further using the problems in this workbook.

    The commitment of the department to help you succeed is, however, only a small part of the big picture.  Your success is largely determined by your own commitment.  Study on a daily basis.  Always do your homework.  Remember that practice makes perfect.  The more hours you invest in your studies, the more your likelihood to succeed is guaranteed.
