Biography:
I was raised in Mansfield, Illinois, a samll farming community located in the cornfields of the Midwest. I received my undergraduate degree in English education, a Master's in ESL/Education, and a Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition. All my degrees are from the University of Illinois -Urbana Champaign. I have taught developmental English, ESL, and College Success courses and have lived in Venezuela, Nigeria, Kentucky, Kansas and Wisconsin. Currently, I happily reside in McAllen, Texas. My four children are Erik, Emily, Susannah, and Andrew.
