| WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE This program results in a college degree (A.A.S.) in Legal Assisting and requires 70 credit hours for graduation. All of the instructors in this program are licensed attorneys with substantial experience in the practice of law. The primary objective of the program is to produce graduates who are qualified to perform the duties of a legal assistant in a private law firm, corporate legal department or government agency. Although the program is still relatively new, we believe that we have produced some outstanding graduates, and we look forward to continued improvement as we seek to better serve the practicing attorneys and other employers of legal assistants/paralegals in our district. If you have any questions or comments about the program, please contact Joseph Preston at (956) 688-2031, write at P.O. Box 9701, McAllen, TX 78502-9701, or through e-mail at our feedback link.
